It started with the global financial crisis in 2008. Victoria had trained as an economist and was working in the City. As a junior adviser to FTSE 100 executives and international banks, it became clear to Victoria that no one knew what was going on. Nor did many at the top appreciate the scale of what was to come. Victoria decided to retrain as a financial journalist. Her aim was to hold those in power to account and lift the lid on subjects that can look intimidating, confusing and remote.
